Family of late cartoonist Thomas Moore holds estate sale

artist known throughout the nation. thomas moore was a contributing cartoonist and writer for archie comics. today family members held an estate sale at the home he lived in abc-7’s jerry najer is live with the story … rick estela thomas moore was known for his work on the archie comic book series since the 50’s and at this evenings estate sale people were finding some gems from the past. at first glance this home night look like any other in northeast el paso. signs of an estate sale drapped the fornt lawn. but unknown to some seeking deals it was the home of thomas moore “well h wasn’t only a cartoonist he was a collector” to moore is a cousin of thomas moore. he’s helping the family sell off many of the moores belongins everything from place matts-old type writers to jackets. but there was something special about this estate sale “we’ve had a lot of people that specialize in comics come” the illustrator that created an iconic cartoon left behind stacks and stacks and more stacks of comics. some worth a dollar and some worth 400 hundred dollars. also a steal- some reprints of archie comic strips for a dollar “it’s very suprising and cool” brandon cordero dropped in on a whim “it wa really cool to see the history” “family membe tell me this was his moore’s office where you can find el paso herald post comic strips from 1933 of even purchase a chair he could of used to sketch his art work” and if you look closely you can find a collector book or two “he was well read a lot of books on the history of el paso about the history of comics he was just a well rounded rennaisaince man” today was the first day tomorrow they’ll be open from 9-5 and sunday is their bargain day from 10-5 that’s at 3224 old spanish trail. we are just about to enter the busiest
