Possible tuition increase for UTEP students

The University of Texas System Board of Regents will soon consider increasing tuition fees.

Full-time Texas resident undergraduates will face a $163 increase over the fall of 2016. While non-resident-undergrads will see a $431 increase.

The average increase for resident undergraduates without any grants or scholarship aid will be $11 per week for the first year.

UTEP’s key priorities to the tuition increase is to better student success, faculty support and enhance student services.

Evan Folan reports.
