EPISD partners with Under Armour

with a well known apparel company. officials say the deal is expected to save the district millions. abc-7’s jerry najera was at the board meeting today he is live with the story … rick estela few months ago yisd partnered with nike. today the episd board voted to approve a contract that would make athletic clothing company “under armour” the supplier of choice. “this is groudbreaking fo episd” episd truste trent hatch says the district aquiring a partnership with the athletic apparel company is a first of it’s kind. “under armour is our official supplier for athletic gear for all of our athletic teams within our school district” hatch tells abc-7 –currently all schools, boosters go to individual vendors from el paso and throughout the nation looking for the best opportunity to supply their teams but now.. “by doing this by bringing it under one umbrella this allows us to have a lot of equity” the district pretty much gets a better deal from ordering in bulk “i doesn’t matter i you go to jefferson or austin or irvin or frankling coronado or andress everybody is going to have the opportunity from the same vendor with the same discounts with the same quality and product that under armour provides” and the deal with under armour isn’t limited to just athletics “if you have a student council group that needs to buy apparel and put their team or their group or what have you they are going to have this acess to buy this type of product” hatch says the deal goes beyond saving the district money. “it’s a matter of having pride in our school setting the tone we want to look good we want to feel good we want our student athletes and everybody in our schools to know that they represent something great” hatch tells me the contract is good immediately but it should take about a year for students to see the new threads. pornography or
