Winds are to blame for brush fire in Anthony, Texas

Fire crews are working to put out hot spots after a brush fire.

The fire began Monday morning burning along the Anthony gap.

The Anthony Fire Department responded shortly after.

Officials with the Dona Ana Count Sheriffs office are still not sure what cause the fire, but Sheriffs told an ABC-7 photographer on the scene that firefighter are still trying to put out the flames.

High winds are reported to be a factor of the fire, which is causing the flames to flair up in some areas.
