Good attendance pays off, Arrowhead student wins car

Marco Garcia, a junior at Arrowhead Early College High School, won a 2014 Toyota Yaris Thursday.

Thousands of high school students in the Las Cruces Public Schools district were eligible to win a free car based on their attendance during this school year.

Garcia’s name was drawn during a celebration at the Field of Dreams.

The names of students who had at least 95% attendance in their classes each semester were entered into the raffle.
