KeAndre Bates wins silver in NCAA triple jump

Former Burges graduate, and sophomore at The University of Florida, earned the silver medal at the NCAA Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.

Sitting in fourth place heading into the finals, Bates unleashed a large leap of 54-feet, 10-3/4 inches to earn the silver medal for The Gators.

Meanwhile, Franklin graduate, and current Baylor athlete Felix Obi, finished 10th in the triple jump, just missing the finals by one-quarter of an inch after going 51-5 1/2.
