Crash in northeast causes power outage Friday morning

El Paso Electric (EPE) restored power in northeast El Paso Friday morning after a car crashed into an electrical pole.

EPE says it happened at the intersection of Magnetic and Zircon around 7:30 a.m.

According to emergency dispatchers, everyone is OK but EPE says 1,380 customers were without power for over an hour.

No word if the driver was cited.
