New Veteran Transitional Living Center in El Paso

A new veteran transitional center is now open in El Paso. The center is aimed at helping homeless veterans get back on their feet by providing housing and other amenities.

The Veteran’s Transitional Living Center is located at 818 Myrtle Avenue and is funded by Veteran’s Affairs.

The center includes 20 fully equipped rooms to house about 250 veterans.
It gives veterans a roof over their head as well as a place to shower and get a nutritional meal.

The program coordinator, Gene Roberts, says the average stay for vets is about 135 days. He says that is enough time to teach them some life skills and get them in a position to be successfully placed in a home.

If you would like more information about the new center, you can contact Gene Roberts at (915) 838-0727.
