Reconstruction projection begins on Robinson Ave.
A reconstruction project set to improve a portion of Robinson Avenue begins Monday.
The City of El Paso’s Capital Improvement Department is investing $2.25 million to update drainage systems in the area.
Other amenities include new hike and bike trails, new landscaping, irrigation, illumination, ADA compliant sidewalks and curbs will be added.
The project will be done in four phases that will enforce closures on Robinson Ave.
Below are the following closures:
PHASE I
Full roadway closure of Robinson Avenue from Piedmont Drive to Sierra Crest Drive
PHASE II
Full roadway closure of Robinson Avenue from Sierra Crest Drive to center to Canyon Terrace Drive
PHASE III
Full roadway closure of Robinson Avenue from Canyon Terrace Drive to Kingery Drive
PHASE IV
Full roadway closure of Robinson Avenue from Kingery Drive to Rim Road/Scenic Drive
City officials said the project is expected to be complete next summer.
