EPFD responds to water rescue

The El Paso Fire Department (EPFD) confirmed, in a Twitter post, it rescued a man in a canal.

Crews responded to the 4700 block of Edna Avenue in the lower valley just after 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Initially, EPFD reported it was a recovery, but minutes later said the man was taken out of the canal and rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries.
