Hundreds honor victims of crime

Hundreds of El Pasoans walked miles in honor of victims of crime Sunday.

The annual walk across El Paso began early Sunday morning at the El Paso County Courthouse and ended around 11 A.M at Crime Victims’ Memorial Park, or Yucca Park.

Law enforcement agencies and service agencies escorted hundreds as they walked for more than 10 miles. Many held photos, banners, posters, candles and shirts with photos and names of victims.

“Unfortunately, we all go through hard times. So we just stand together I get satisfaction that we all remember our loved ones and make people aware that anyone can be affected by a crime,” one person said.
