Neighbors want street improvements after car crashes into Northeast home

Some Northeast El Paso residents want the city to step in to help make their neighborhood street safer.

Their calls come after a car crashed into the bedroom of a home at the intersection of Sun Valley and Menzies Street Saturday morning. And 11 year old girl and her mother were inside at the time, but were not seriously injured. Neighbors tell ABC-7 they’ve had cars crashing into their property for the past 36 years, and that they’ve repeatedly asked for stop signs or speed bumps.

Police have not said what caused the latest crash, but the driver was taken into custody.
