Fans line up for Selena make-up
Fans of slain Tejano star Selena lined up Thursday to get their hands on the singer’s MAC Cosmetics collection.
The Selena collection made its debut in stores Thursday, including in El Paso. At Cielo Vista Mall, there were long lines at the MAC standalone store and in the cosmetics departments at stores like Dillard’s and Macy’s.
Fans flooded social media with complaints after her new makeup products sold out on the first day of online sales. MAC Cosmetics launched its Selena collection on Friday in Corpus Christi, Texas, the singer’s hometown. The collection went on sale Saturday on the company’s website. Frustrated fans soon took to Twitter to complain about being greeted by error messages when they tried to complete their purchases. MAC announced Saturday night that they were sold out.
MAC says the collection was available through the websites of several major retailers beginning Monday.
