Mt. Cristo Rey pilgrimage takes place Sunday

Thousands are expected to make their way to Mount Cristo Rey for the annual Feast of Christ the King pilgrimage Sunday. But if you’re heading out to join them, your going to have to use a different route than previous years.

Since Paisano Drive is closed for construction, drivers can instead head east on Doniphan Drive and take a left on Racetrack Drive. You’ll then turn left on McNutt Road and then right onto Christo Rey Road, across the railroad tracks up to the base of Mount Cristo Rey.

Security will be present for the pilgrimage, and the procession will be led by the El Paso and Las Cruces bishops.
