NMDOT to address dust storms on US 180

The New Mexico Department of Transportation has a plan to alleviate the nuisance of dust storms along US Route 180.

The state’s transportation department says blowing dust has often caused road closures and crashes. To fix this problem, the state says it plans to install netting and vegetation on a stretch of the highway just north of Deming.

If you would like to give your input, a meeting on this issue will be held on Thursday December 6th at 6 pm at the NMDOT office in Deming, located at 2912 E Pine St.
