UMC welcomes first baby born in 2017
University Medical Center has welcomed the first baby born at the hospital in 2017.
Ailyne Gonzales was born at 12:50 A.M Sunday. She’s El Paso’s first baby to be born in the new year. Her parents tell ABC-7 they’re happy she’s healthy.
“It’s very surprising because we never expected having a new year’s baby, and for her to be the first one in El Paso, it was like wow, we couldn’t believe it,” Nora Ramirez said.
Ramirez says little Ailyne was scheduled to be born December 30th, but the baby made her grand entrance New Year’s Day. Ailyne has two other sisters that live with her parents in Horizon. Her father was ecstatic to welcome another girl into the world.
“I’m very grateful, blessed to have three girls that are healthy and very blessed to have my third girl. I’m happy that my wife is okay and doing good,” her father told ABC-7.
