David Marmolejo pleads guilty to charges in AZ
David Marmolejo, the El Paso man convicted of murdering his mother in 2009, has pleaded guilty to several charges of sexual assault, according to KPNX in Phoenix, AZ.
Marmolejo was in a Maricopa County courtroom Thursday morning, facing 32 charges. Half of them were for sexual assault. Others were for aggravated assault, sexual abuse and kidnapping.
KPNX reported that the sentencing phase will be set for a later date.
The charges stem from separate incidents in 2005 and 2006, according to court documents.
