Man rescued from canal in South El Paso

A man was rescued from a canal in South El Paso Sunday.

It happened Sunday at 1 P.M. at a canal near Chihuahita. Border patrol agents say they spotted two men who were swept away in the canals rushing waters.

One man was pulled from the water,, agents gave the man CPR before an ambulance rushed him to a local hospital. The other person spotted could not be reached.

The water rescue team continued downstream along border highway near the Delta flood gate to try to recover the body. However, at this point they have still not found the body.
