Teacher at Helen Ball Elementary charged with Injury to a Child

Investigators arrested a kindergarten teacher at Helen Ball Elementary Tuesday and charged her with Injury to a Child.

Online jail records state Olga Najera, aka Olga Sepulveda, was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on two counts of Injury to a Child. Her bond was set at $15,000.

Daniel Escobar, a spokesman with the Socorro Independent School District, told ABC-7 Najera has been placed on paid administrative leave.

Escobar also told ABC-7 Najera was placed on leave in 2016 for employee misconduct and later reinstated as a teacher at Helen Ball.
