UTEP volleyball collecting items for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts

The UTEP volleyball team will play its first home match of the season on Wednesday against Texas Tech.

But the match presents fans with more than just an opportunity to cheer on the Miners against a Power Five team.

The Miners are asking fans to donate various items at the game to help assist with Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.

The match gets underway at 6 p.m. at Memorial Gym.

Any donation will help, but the team is requesting the following items in particular: socks, baby wipes, diapers, and water.

UTEP is also hoping for an “Orange Out” against the Red Raiders. Anyone who wears orange will get into the game for free.
