Frost tried to catch a pass on fourth down that was nearly batted away by a defender from Albuquerque High School. He knew he didn’t have a chance to catch the ball with his hands, so he improvised.

“I just thought that I had time to catch it with my legs. I saw it coming down and thought, ‘Why not?’ I just closed my legs and the ball stayed between my legs,” said Frost.

Centennial went on to beat Albuquerque and is so far 1-1 on the season.

When asked if he planned to catch more passes with his legs this year, Frost gave the right answer.

“No, [my coach] really prefers me to catch with my hands,” he said.

The Hawks will play La Cueva this week, looking to notch their second win of the season.
