Reward increases to $50,000 for information on Mesilla homicide investigation

Doña Ana County Sheriff’s are offering a n increased cash reward of $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the murder investigation of an 18-year-old man found dead in Mesilla last month.

Dakota Lunceford’s body was discovered off Glass Road on August 3rd.

Bryanna Terry, 19, was said to be in contact with Lunceford before his death and initially spoke with detectives who were working the case. She later became uncooperative with detectives and a search warrant for her cell phone was issued.

Terry and her boyfriend, 22-year-old Justin Bullock, were arrested August 15th in connection with the warrant. Both were charged with tampering with evidence. Bullock was additionally charged with resisting and obstructing for allegedly hiding in the attic of the home where the warrant was executed, and for reportedly trying to dismantle Terry’s phone.

According to jail records, Terry bonded out on Tuesday. Bullock remains jailed without bond.

Doña Ana County Sheriff’s are asking anyone with information on the case is to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
