EPPD: Dodge Dart occupants suffer life-threatening injuries in wreck involving semi truck

Special Traffic investigators are investigating the wreck that left two people with life-threatening injuries, police said.

The wreck happened October 29, 2017 on the 10300 block of Gateway North.

Police said a 2016 Volvo semi-tractor trailer was north-bound on Gateway North when it collided with a 2016 Dodge Dart traveling east on Sun Valley.

The driver of the Dodge Dart, 24-year-old Tyler Oquinn, and the passenger, 25-year-old Brittany Dochstader, were transported to University Medical Center for treatment of critical injuries, police said.

The passenger in the semi truck, 59-year-old Randy Grisham of Peoria, Arizona, suffered minor injuries. The driver of the semi, 45-year-old Maurice Harris of Phoenix, Arizona, was not injured, police said.

Officials said witnesses provided conflicting accounts as to who had the green light at the intersection. The investigation is ongoing.
