3 teenagers charged in aggravated robbery at East El Paso smoke shop

Police arrested three teenagers in connection to an aggravated robbery at the Hot Box Smoke Shop in East El Paso.

17-year old Jonathan Isaiah Mendoza, 18-year old Melakiah William Viscaino, and 17-year old Israel Quentin Adame are charged with Aggravated Robbery.

Police said that at about 9:30 pm on October 11, 2017, the three teenagers worked together to rob the smoke shop on the 3300 block of Saul Kleinfeld.

Two of the teenagers entered the store armed with a handgun and bat, threatened a store employee and took money from the cash register, police said.

The two fled to a waiting getaway vehicle allegedly driven by the third teen.

Tactical investigators with the Pebble Hills Regional Command Center identified Mendoza, Viscaino and Adame as being the individuals responsible for the aggravated robbery.

Police said investigators recovered the handgun allegedly used during the robbery.

Medoza was booked into the County jail on a $50,000 bond, Viscaino was booked on a $100,000 bond and Adama was booked on a $75,000 bond, police said.
