Trolley will provide free rides to WinterFest

According to city officials, Destination El Paso and Sun Metro have collaborated to launch the WinterFest Express, a free trolley ride from the UTEP area to downtown’s WinterFest.

Sun Metro Director Jay Banasiak said, “We have transformed a classic trolley into a unique ride experience with holiday decorations that will bring back vintage memories as when it first operated some years ago.”

The trolley will run between Saturday, November 18th, and New Years Eve. It will depart every 30 minutes between the hours below.

Friday: 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Saturday: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Sunday: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Passengers will be able to board the WinterFest Express at the Glory Road Transfer Center (near UTEP) and downtown at Sheldon Court.
