Life magazine captured El Paso sniper during Vietnam War

Fifty years ago Friday, an El Paso marine was part of documented history during the Vietnam War.

Life magazine correspondent David Douglas Duncan was covering the war when he captured a photograph of sniper Albert Miranda looking through the scope of his rifle.

The photograph became a transcendent image during the war.

ABC-7’s Tom Scott sat down with Miranda, who still recalls the moments leading to the photograph.
