Adopt a pet for $1 Friday
The El Paso Animal Services Center is hosting a special price for all pet adoptions Friday.
For one dollar residents can take a new pet home.
The center will also extend its hours Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. This comes at a time when the shelter will start to see an increase in pets.
“We’re not sure why it happens but our warmer months are traditionally busier,” Ramon Herrera, spokesman for El Paso Animal Services, said.
The shelter currently has more than 500 pets and about 200 are ready for adoption.
Dogs can be adopted for one dollar and the public can take advantage of Feline Friday and adopt a cat for free.
The El Paso Animal Services Center is located at 5001 Fred Wilson Avenue.
