March for Babies draws dozens to northwest El Paso

Dozens of people tied up their sneakers Saturday morning for the March for Babies.

The proceeds from the event are used to expand programs and educate medical professionals to make sure that moms and babies get the best possible care. The event is a part of March of Dimes. The funding also goes toward finding solutions to the biggest health threats and supports moms through every stage of the pregnancy journey, when things don’t go according to plan.

“I personally never had a preemie baby, but I do feel for all the moms that had to go through that,” Fatima Perez, an event supporter, said. “It makes you appreciate everything more and see the circumstances that people go through and it’s heart touching. I am just here to support everybody.”
