Two suspects lead police on chase, ended in rollover crash in Northeast

Two suspects are facing some kind of assault charges after leading El Paso Police Department officers on a chase across town, according to police spokesman Darrel Petry.

It started when officers responded to a disturbance call on Honolulu Dr. on the eastside around 1 a.m. Thursday.

Suspects in a vehicle at the scene refused to stop for officers sparking a pursuit that lead them to the northeast, Petry said.

That car crashed and rolled over at 9455 Railroad Dr. and Waycross Ave.

Petry said the two suspects sustained minor injuries and are now facing charges related to assault, although authorities still do not know the exact charges.

Railroad was blocked off Thursday morning, forcing cars to take McCombs or Sanders to avoid the area.

This incident is still under investigation.
