Local man gets “Senior Wish’ granted

Leobardo Hernandez wished to sing as a mariachi just one more time and Saturday that wish was granted.

Leobardo performed with Mariachi Estrella de El Paso though Hospice El Paso.

His daughter Sylvia Jobe told ABC-7, “I remember when he used to sing with bands and he would come to nursing home to do what hes doing now.”

The event was held at the Regent Care Center on Edgemere.

Hospice El Paso is the city’s only nonprofit hospice organization and through its nurses, social workers and chaplains, seeks out opportunities for their Senior Wishes program.
