A man wanted for murder in El Paso is now on Texas’ most wanted list.

The Department of Public Safety is offering a reward of $7,500 for information leading to Keith Boynes, 46.

DPS said Boynes has been wanted since August of 2017.

A search of the ABC-7 archive showed that El Paso police were investigating a murder at the Mesa Inn on Aug. 26 of that year.

The body of George Lewis, 47, was found inside a room at the west side motel.

Boynes is described as 6 foot 1 inch tall and about 270 lbs., and may be using a different name.

He also has ties to New Mexico and has a criminal history. His criminal history includes criminal sexual conduct, aggravated assault, assault with a dangerous weapon, possession of weapons and burglary.

Call the Texas Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS.
