The body of an El Paso man was pulled out of a creek near the UT-Arlington Campus early Saturday morning, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Arlington Police responded to a possible drowning call at around 11:15 p.m. Friday and the body of 23-year-old Alan Amaya was discovered close to 2 a.m.

Police continue to investigate the incident and have not said if foul play was involved.

The area has been hit by heavy rainfall and has caused plenty of flooding.

A GoFundMe account has been set up for Amaya and it can be found here https://www.gofundme.com/fondos-para-ayudar-a-la-fam-amaya
