Man accused of gluing toddler’s eyes…

An El Paso man is arrested, accused of supergluing his toddler’s eyes and mouth shut.

Johnnie Lee Carter, 29, was arrested on Monday at a motel on the 11000 block of Gateway Boulevard West. The warrant was issued by the police department in Odessa. That’s where Carter was charged with injury to a child causing serious bodily injury, which is a first-degree felony. He’s accused of gluing his 14-month-old’s mouth and eyes closed during what’s being described as a domestic incident. He had fled shortly before police arrived.

The news release from the U.S. Marshals Service did not specify the current condition of the child.

Carter was arrested without incident, according to the U.S. Marshals Service, which assisted in the investigation into his whereabouts. Carter was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility under a no bond warrant and will face extradition to Ector County.
