Police search for man suspected of stealing vehicle batteries

El Paso police are looking for a man they claim is burglarizing business vehicles.

Police said the first incident happened Oct. 2 at a locksmith business on Dyer Street.

The suspect was captured on surveillance equipment stealing a battery from a van and draining the fuel from the vehicle.

On Oct. 13, police say the same suspect stole four batteries from vans at a daycare center on Fairbanks.

The suspect was seen getting into a light-colored Honda Civic.

Those with information about this case are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 566-8477.
