Texas Gov. Abbott brings ‘Get Out The Vote’ tour to El Paso Thursday

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is scheduled to visit El Paso Thursday.

It’s part of his tour across the state to encourage people to vote and his campaign for re-election.

Abbott’s main competitor is Democratic challenger Lupe Valdez. Abbott is still considered a heavy favorite, by double digits, according to several polls. Valdez is currently crisscrossing Texas with other Democratic statewide candidates as part of a bus tour organized by the state party.

Abbott is set to visit Julio’s Mexican Food on 8050 Gateway Blvd. East

It starts at 11:15 a.m.

Early voting ends Friday in Texas. Election Day is Nov. 6.
