UTEP falls to Western Kentucky

The UTEP Miner football team took on the Hilltoppers in Western Kentucky. The Hilltoppers came in with a record of 1 and 9. Would the miners be able to add another win to their season?

Second quarter, Miners down 33 to zip, Kai Locksley finds himself in trouble. Tries to just get rid of the ball but throws it off his back foot and into the arms of Hilltopper Gaej Walker! Walker would then take it 20 yards for the touchdown.

Third quarter, Miners trying to make it respectable. Brandon Jones behind center. He drops back and finds Terry Juniel in the back of the end zone all by himself! Miners would go for two and make it!

Hilltoppers take over on the 4th down. Steven Duncan from the gun, rolls left, gets in trouble and tries to shovel pass it but he puts too much on it. The ball lands in the hands of Kalon Beverly.

Same drive, BJ from the gun, drops back and finds David Lucero! Lucero stays in bounds and heads down the sideline! he would go 88 yards for the touchdown.

Miners going for two, Lucero makes the catch converting for two points.

Locksley and Brandon Jones combined for five interceptions in the first half.
The Hilltoppers take it on senior night…..40 to 16.
