Latest Sun Bowl projections with bowl selection six days away

We are just six days away from bowl selections being made official, and there are plenty of predictions regarding who will play in the 2018 Hyundai Sun Bowl Game.

The game will take place on Monday, Dec. 31 at noon MT (2 p.m. ET) at Sun Bowl Stadium.

Here is a list of some predictions from various media outlets across the country:

ESPN: Virginia vs. Arizona State

Sports Illustrated: Syracuse vs. California

SB Nation: Virginia vs. California

College Football News: Pittsburgh vs. Stanford

Fans are invited to attend the Sun Bowl selection party this Sunday from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at Sunland Park Racetrack.

The bowl matchup will be announced during the party and fans will have a chance to win various prizes.

Sun Bowl executive director Bernie Olivas says there are a few other contenders out of the Pac-12 and ACC including Utah, Washington State, Miami, Boston College, Duke, and Georgia Tech.

The 2017 Sun Bowl featured North Carolina State and Arizona State, with the Wolfpack claiming a 52-31 victory.
