Shooting in northeast El Paso

El Paso police responded to the scene of a shooting in northeast El Paso Saturday afternoon.

One person was shot and another was taken into custody.

It happened at around 3:30 p.m. on the 5900 blk. of Dyer.

An emergency dispatch operator told ABC-7 the victim is a man in 30s.

He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

El Paso police confirmed one person was arrested following Saturday’s shooting.

No other information is being released at this time.
