Holiday greetings from Ft. Bliss’ 1st Armored Division troops overseas

The holidays offer plenty of cheer for some families, but for military families with loved ones serving overseas, it can be especially challenging to enjoy the holiday season.

The First Armored Division out of Fort Bliss has troops stationed all over the country.

While servicemen and women have to resort to other forms of communication, many are sending holiday greetings to loved ones.

The 1AD Facebook page is filled with greetings from soldiers around the world, sending their love to families and friends.

One video features Col. Marc Cloutier, the commander of the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1AD, the Bulldog Brigade and Command Sgt. Maj. Mike Oliver.

Sitting between them is the adorable unit mascot, Pfc. Tank Chester.

The Bulldog Brigade is currently stationed at Camp Humphrey, Republic of Korea.

In the video, Col. Cloutier and Sgt. Maj. Oliver are trying to get Tank’s attention to look at the camera during several outtakes.

Moments later, you can hear Tank “talk,” referring to his comrades as Santa Claus’ reindeers.

Watch the greeting and many more, here.
