Miners take on the Hilltoppers in Bowling Green

The 4-18 Miners went to Kentucky to play conference foe WKU Hilltoppers.

UTEP’s solid defense couldnt stop WKU.

Though the game was close in the second period with the Miners coming with in two the Toppers offense scorched UTEP.

Possible one and done talent had 17 points and 12 rebounds leading WKU.

Nigel Hawkins and Evan Gilyard led the team with 17 and 16 respectively.

Late in the game the Miners cut distance between the Hilltoppers to 4 points but WKU wasnt having it going on a 22 to 9 run ending the contest.

Miners lose 76 to 59.

UTEP will play Florida Atlantic at the Don this coming Thursday
