EPPD: Man faces seventh drunken driving charge

A man was charged with DWI Sunday morning, but turns out it was the seventh time he was arrested on suspicion of the same thing, according to the El Paso Police Department.

Authorities said 44-year-old Enrique Lopez was driving along Zaragoza Road without headlights or taillights at around 2 a.m.

Police said Lopez hit a raised curb and missed a business driveway as an officer was trying to pull him over.

Lopez was intoxicated and arrested, according to police.

Investigators found Lopez had six previous DWI convictions.

Authorities booked Lopez into the El Paso County jail with a $10,000 bond.
