Driveway Death: Man struck and killed by own truck, deputies say

A 20-year-old Anthony man appears to have been killed when he was run over by a vehicle in his driveway, according to the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Departmet.

Deputies are investigating the death as an accident.

It was reported just after 5 p.m. Tuesday in the 1700 block of Deer Circle. Witnesses who drove by called 911 to report seeing a man trapped underneath a Chevrolet pickup truck.

The sheriff’s office idetified the man as Aram Dorado-Marin. It said an investigation revelaed Dorado-Marin started the engine in his truck, and then exited the vehicle to open a gate in the driveway.

“The truck rolled backward and pinned Dorado-Marin under the truck,” said the Sheriff’s Office, “He was pronounced dead at the scene.”
