EPPD: Store clerk found dead

The El Paso Police Department is investigating what they are calling a “suspicious death” in the back of a convenience store on the far east side.

Authorities were called to the 7-Eleven store on the 2100 block of N. Zaragoza Road around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police told ABC-7 that someone called 911 because the store clerk was nowhere to be found. Officers found the clerk in the back of the store, dead.

The clerk has not been identified and officials have not said how he died.

Police are trying to find the people who called 911 and are asking for them to please come forward so they can possibly aid in the investigation.
