Las Cruces Bulldawgs given second seed with a 28-0 record

The seeds for the New Mexico High School Basketball Playoffs have been announced.

The top four are Volcano Vista, Las Cruces High, Rio Rancho and Eldorado.

Las Cruces will play Onate and Gadsden will play Rio Rancho, both on Saturday.

In Girls 5A the thirteenth seed Centennial will play fourth seed Carlsbad.

The 14th seed Onate will play third seed West Mesa. These games will be played March 8th.

Head Basketball Coach William Benjamin said about the seeding, “I really don’t know, I guess they use the Coaching Poll as part of their criteria for seeding.”
