Doa Ana County man accused of sexually abusing boy

Detectives with the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man accused of sexually abusing a child.

Timothy Matton, 35, was taken into custody Wednesday.

Matton, whose current address is in the 16000 block of Furnace Street in Organ, charged with criminal sexual penetration of a minor under 13, a first-degree felony.

Deputies responded to the accuser’s home just before 6 p.m. Wednesday. A woman at the home accused Matton of sexually abusing her son.

Matton is currently being held without bond at the Doña Ana County Detention Center.
