Strong winds lead to West El Paso Chick-fil-A Campout, free food giveaway being canceled

Strong winds will make their way through the Borderland on Wednesday.

That’s why Chick-fil-A decided to cancel its campout and free food giveaway for the first 100 customers who line up outside their new West Side location.

The company sent out this statement:

“The safety of our Team Members and customers is our utmost priority. We have been monitoring the weather closely, and due to forecasts predicting high wind warning for Western El Paso County, the First 100 Campout event at our new restaurant at Desert Blvd. and Paseo Del Norte has been cancelled. We will open as scheduled at 6:30 a.m. Thursday morning with a day filled with surprises.”
