Sheriffs Office holds meeting to give tips on crime prevention

Sheriff Richard D. Wiles and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a community meeting tonight to give residents tips on crime prevention.

The meeting is open to the community and will discuss crimes such as vehicle theft, and identity theft. Community members will also have the opportunity to ask questions or raise issues that are happening in their neighborhoods.

According to a spokeswoman from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, some of the topics that will be discussed are:

“Lock or lose it.” An initiative for owners to protect themselves against vehicle and property theft Neighborhood Watch Programs Current crime stats from the area Question and answer session

The meeting will be held at the Community Center in Vinton Texas and will start at 6:00.

ABC 7 will be at that meeting and provide a full report on ABC 7 at 10:00.
