One person stabbed at mall in Las Cruces

The Las Cruces Police Department said one person has been stabbed at a mall in Las Cruces. The victim has been taken to the hospital.

The suspect, who has not yet been identified, has been arrested.

Las Cruces police were called out shortly before 9 P.M. to the Mesilla Valley Mall with reports of an armed person.

When they arrived at the scene, police said they learned the victim had been stabbed and was taken to a local hospital.

They believe the suspect was stabbed at or near a store at the mall.

In a video sent to us by ABC-7 viewer Jessica Hernandez, police are seen chasing a man down outside the mall.

Las Cruces police have not confirmed if the man in the video is the suspect. ABC-7 does not know the identity of the victim.
