EPPD: Man with 4 previous DWI convictions caught driving drunk with cocaine

An El Paso man driving drunk while in possession of cocaine over the weekend has four previous DWI convictions, said El Paso Police.

Orlando Miguel Luevanos , 45, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated ( 3rd or More) and Possession of a Controlled Substance (cocaine).

At about 11:20 p.m. on March 23, 2019, police officers encountered Luevanos driving a white 2004 Ford Ranger near George Dieter and Fred Marti Drive in East El Paso.

Police said Luevanos was heading south on George Dieter without his headlights while failing to remain in a single lane.

After Luevanos was arrested, an investigation revealed he was in possession of a gram of cocaine and had four previous convictions for DWI.

Luevanos was booked into the El Paso County Jail for Driving.
