EPPD: Men arrested at post office had packages with marijuana, liquid THC

Police arresed two men outside an East El Paso post office because they were allegedly in possession of packages containing marijuana and THC.

Police charged Robert Barraza, 20, and Oscar Nevarez, 22, with Possession of Marijuana and Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

The men were arrested on April 2, 2019 outside the U.S. Postal Service Office in the 2100 block of George Dieter.

Narcotics detectives were conducting an on-going investigation when they approached Barraza and Nevarez outside the post office.

Both men were allegedly carrying packages from the post office to their vehicle.

Police said the packages were found to contain more than 13 pounds of marijuana and more than 1,300 cartridges filled with liquid THC.

The bond for Barraza was set at $170,000. The bond for Nevarez was set at $103,000. Both were booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
